As those who know about my newest project may have guessed, I've been wrangling with the new book since before Christmas. (And I have to say it's interfering with the doing of art, but only in a nice sort of way.) The deadline for Writing Your Way to Joy is January 31. My co-author Deb and I are working as feverishly as angels dancing on the head of a pin to bring this baby in on time.
The book is about writing for spiritual growth. You can get a hint of its contents over at the book's blog, Writing Your Way to Joy. Every Monday on that blog we'll post a writing focus for the week. Today's idea -- Still Life with Haiku -- emerged from a Benjamin Moser article in the February 2009 Harper's Monthly.
