Sisters in Crime

The Ohio River Valley chapter of Sisters in Crime met Saturday for a Christmas get-together at Bristol Restaurant in Prospect, Kentucky . People just plain look good in red, don't they?

If you're interested in the genre, come join us the second Saturday in January at the Barnes & Noble on Hurtsborne for our regular meeting.

The chapter has published two short story collections: Low Down and Derby and Derby Rotten Scoundrels. A third one is in the works.

Sisters in Crime is a national organization for mystery writers who are women. (Men can also join.) The genre is broad, including everything from Agatha Christie to the latest exploration of Charles Manson's psyche. Recently vampires have been added to the mix, which I find disconcerting, if not downright scary.
