After our trip up to see Chained Rock in November, we hiked down the mountain to see what we could see. I was surprised to learn that chestnuts continue to sprout in the forest, even though they can't grow.
If you've wondered what the earth's crust looks like, check out the photo of the angled rock. It's part of a tectonic plate that was shoved above ground.
The other photo shows the power of persistence. Check out the tree in the background that grew up for a time and then grew sideways before turning up to the sky again. Determination wins the day.
