I love contemporary fabrics in all their diversity -- especially the conversational prints (although I'm most drawn to the "novelty" subsection) -- and keep experimenting with ways to use them well in fiber art -- something that pays attention to the print but goes beyond the ordinary. This piece was fun -- can't quite explain why the word "pansy" demanded to be embroidered in that way, but what are ya gonna do?
