I made a horse quilt for his birthday, using a photo I took as the basis for embroidering and appliquing. Next tyime, I may work with solid colored fabric and use nothing but embroidery for the mane and highlights. This time, though, I'm satisfied; time was running out for finishing a quilt to be hauled around inside and out.
