The theme for this month's online art quilt challenge was the Lewis Carroll poem"Jabberwocky." The challenge was to create an evocative piece using different textures.
I've been fascinated by the word "brillig" ever since I was in grade school, so that's what I had in mind in putting this piece together. While I was stitching the gold, I realized that brillig suggests both dank and glittery to me. There's a bit of slithy tove in the piece as well.
The piece is an irregular 6 x 10 inches.
