On the banks of the Ohio

After the lecture, I walked down to the banks of the river. Most interesting to see what the rocks looked like - which is to say like no rocks I've ever seen before. I grew up in northern Ohio and lived as an adult in South Carolina, and neither place had this kind of scabby, airy looking rock.
