Ford Tri-Motor landing

You know how little kids in a stroller will sometimes wave their arms and kick their feet for pure joy? That's how I felt climbing on board the Tri-Motor, smelling the familiar aroma of airplane fuel, and hearing the motors rev up.

I took these photos as we were coming in for a landing. I love watching the ground sweep up toward the plane... Yes, I know it actually happens the other way around...

This plane was far quieter than the one I flew on as a teenager. The windows didn't rattle. There were no feed sacks full of perch, being taken home by ice fisherman. The paint job was lighter and brighter. Even so, it was a great trip.
